Erik is the co-founder of Bold North Roofing and Contracting. With a background in accounting and business, Erik leads the business development and financial aspects of the business. He started his career in public accounting and worked at a local real estate developer where he helped rapidly scale the business. He is also a certified public accountant and real estate agent both licensed in the state of Minnesota. Erik lives in Minneapolis where he enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.

Owner
Ryan is the co-founder of Bold North Roofing and Contracting. With over a decade of experience in the roofing and construction industry, Ryan leads the production and operations teams at Bold North. He started his roofing career as a laborer during the summers in his college years and has since project managed over 1,000 residential and commercial roofing jobs. Ryan lives in Burnsville with his girlfriend and two dogs. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors.
The founders of Bold North, Ryan and Erik, were both born and raised in Minnesota before heading to the University of North Dakota for college where they met. Ryan went to school for Teaching and Erik went to school for Accounting where they both graduated at the top of their respective classes.
Ryan started working in the roofing industry during his summers when he was not teaching and quickly learned that roofing was his passion which he transitioned to full-time shortly thereafter. Since then, Ryan has worked in every facet of the industry from Roofer to Project Manager to Sales Manager where he has completed over a 1,000 jobs in residential, commercial, and multi-family. He also holds his General Contractor’s license.
Erik started working as a CPA at a big4 accounting firm after college which he quickly realized was not his passion. He then joined a local real estate developer where he gained experience in commercial real estate and what it takes to grow and scale a small business. He also holds his real estate license.
During the last several years, both Ryan and Erik figured out that they had aspirations beyond just working a 9-5 job so they began buying old houses to renovate which they then rented out to families in need. This feeling of serving the communities they grew up in through providing safe and affordable homes was the main driver that created Bold North Roofing and Contracting. With this new venture, Ryan and Erik are now able to work directly with homeowners to ensure that their houses are properly protected so that they are able to go boldly into any storm or night.

After the Smart Choice Protection Period specified above, the remedy provided for in this warranty may be different than that provided for during the Smart Choice Protection Period, and any remedy will be reduced to reflect the use you have received from your GAF Products. The amount of use will be calculated by dividing the number of months which have elapsed since installation to the date of claim by the number of months in the warranty term. For a Lifetime warranty, the number of months in the warranty term is deemed to be 600 for years 11-40 of the warranty term. For years 41 and beyond of a Lifetime warranty, GAF’s contribution is 20%.
**** Special Installation: Your GAF LayerLock-labeled Shingles will be covered up to the maximum wind speed above ONLY if installed using 4 nails per shingle and you have GAF Starter Strip Products installed at the eaves and rakes. Special Installation for all other GAF Shingles requires use of 6 nails per shingle and GAF Starter Strip Products installed at the eaves and rakes. Your GAF Ridge Cap Shingles will be covered up to the maximum wind speed above ONLY if your ridge cap shingles are installed in strict accordance with the “Maximum Wind Speed Coverage Under Limited Warranty” section of the applicable ridge cap shingle application instructions. For installations not eligible for the WindProven Limited Wind Warranty, Maximum Wind Speed Coverage is 130mph with Special Installation or 110mph without Special Installation.
